We had a busy week at the clubhouse organizing, cleaning and decorating. Thanks to everyone that helped .
You might notice the decorations outside of the clubhouse. Thanks to John F. and Delma W. for all the nighttime decorating. It looks great out there. We are not going to decorate inside the building this year but we are putting up a tree thanks to Lois J. who donated a smaller tree and even bought the stand to help us out. Thanks Lois. Great to see you back at the Clubhouse.
This Saturday is a busy one. At 1pm some of us will be helping St. John's Church clean the pews. So far Danny L. has recruited three people but we need a few more. Thanks for volunteering Willie M, John F. Josh S. . Please consider helping us out we ran into a scheduling conflict or we would have a lot more. At 2 pm Char B. is holding her Craft Fundraiser at the Clubhouse. If you haven't signed up yet there are a few spaces left. It will be nice to get together . With Char at the helm you can be sure there will be lots of laughter and creativity going around. Everyone leaves with five ornaments!! If you would like to participate and can't afford it, please contact Sue L. We have received a donation for these situations.
There will be a Sunday lunch after the 1 Pm AA Meeting. Right now we are flying by the seat of our pants each week so not sure what is on the menu. But Char B., Sue L., and Willie M always come up with something at the last minute. Whatever we have, bring a dish to pass if you can. Last week we celebrated John F. 7 year Anniversary. Thanks to everyone who came out to support John. We served homemade pea and tomato soup along with grilled cheese and ham or roast beef sandwiches. Thanks for all the grilling Willie M . There was not a drop of food left at the end of the day.. not even for take outs. Ice Cream Steve is still supplying us with a variety of flavors and it went great with the Anniversary cake. Thanks Steve A. Gaetan R. and Danny L got the card game going. If we had one more person there would have been two games, so if you like to play cards see you Sunday !! We have the nice round table Jim R. bought so safe distancing is much easier . By the Way Welcome back Kayla and Doug K. !
We are currently collecting names for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinner. Location will depend on numbers so if you are planning on eating with us, let us know. Michelle P. and Becki B. are planning game for Christmas Day... maybe like the ones we had at our Covid picnics. More on that and the menu next week.
Don't forget Becki B.'s Clubhouse Store She has spent a lot of time organizing and getting ready for the holidays. I am sure there is something up there you need. Check it out.
We are not adding any meetings to the Clubhouse until after the holidays and after the Covid numbers go down. Until then please join us for any of the meetings listed below. Use the back door and wear a mask. If you do not have one we have a box at the sign in table. If you need a ride, call the Clubhouse phone at 315-250-7410
