HI Everybody,
I know its more like 6 weeks at 39 Serenity Place!! So here goes......
On Christmas Eve we will be serving a take out Lazagna Dinner for clubhouse members. Call Sue or Danny L if you are interested as they will be cooking !!. We can deliver if you are unable to pick up but you have to let us know so we can coordinate delivery times. Michelle P has put together a special surprise for everyone so you can only imagine hat that will be ..... Then on Christmas Day we will be serving another Turkey Dinner. We are not sure if we will gather at St. Marys Parish Hall or not but even if we do there will be a take out option. Please call about Christmas Day dinner too.
Becki B has spent a lot of time organizing the Clubhouse Store and would like to open up for appointment only for anyone looking for Christmas Gifts and or clothing and sent the following advertisement!! Thanks for all your hard work Becki B.
There are many new or items in good condition which are money savers! Prices range from $1-$5. The Boutique line of clothing is new and is all high-quality name-brands. Bargains galore are to be had... For example, Tops and pants that sell for up to $50 are $5 for tops & $10 for pants. Blazers that sell up to $100 are $20 while jackets or coats that sell over $100 are $25. Stocking stuffers are so reasonably priced. Need a special little gift for a special person? You'll find an array of different items that you don't see in the North Country. There is decorative decor, Kitchen items, dishes, candles, jewelry, shoes, boots, purses, books, cookbooks, recovery reminders, and gadgets. At these prices you can afford to be generous! John B. continues to keep the gotomtg open for our members. All meetings are at 7 pm except Sunday @ 1pm. .The code is 876456517. There is also an Al-Anon mtg on Tuesday at noon. (use the same code ) If we ever get back to meetings in person John has set up an option for people to attend on line. On Thanksgiving 40 Clubhouse Members enjoyed a Turkey Dinner thanks to Karen M. and Michelle P and Sue L and Kenny B delivered about 15 meals between the two of them. It was so long ago but we all enjoyed a good meal during these unusual times. Lets hope next year we can get back to our dinners at the clubhouse!!
Finally we have received clothing donations that we were able to pass along right away and also some empty bottles were left at our door step . Thank-you for that and al the other donations we are receiving. Delma W. also picked up canned food , cereal, and a few other things to add to our food pantry so if anyone is in need of a little extra food call us. Our Higher Power is surely taking care of the clubhouse while we are closed and we couldn't be more grateful .
Until there is more to report on.... Make the best of the Holiday Season, Attend Meetings and call people . We can all use a little support now and then.
